Job Autonomy Scale
Category: Education
Description
The Job Autonomy Scale measures the extent to which employees perceive they have freedom, independence, and discretion in carrying out their job tasks and responsibilities. It evaluates the degree of control employees possess over how, when, and by what methods their work is performed. The instrument is a multidimensional scale comprising three indicators: work method autonomy, work scheduling autonomy, and decision/criteria autonomy. The scale consists of 9 items distributed across the three subscales. Responses are typically rated using a modified 4-point Likert scale format ranging from strongly disagree to strongly agree.
